Don Lawrence specializes in intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent prosecution, opinions, and counseling. Areas of technical expertise include telecommunications, semiconductor manufacturing and packaging, mechanical devices, and semiconductor processing equipment. Mr. Lawrence is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, is a member of the California Bar, and is admitted to practice before all California State and Federal Courts, the CAFC, and the United States Supreme Court.

Prior to joining MacPherson Kwok Chen & Heid LLP, Mr. Lawrence was Of Counsel at Skjerven Morrill MacPherson LLP and has been associated with other IP firms, both large and small. Before Skjerven, Mr. Lawrence was IP Counsel at L.A. Gear, Inc., where he created, maintained, and enforced large international patent and trademark portfolios, as well as negotiated, drafted, and monitored patent, trademark, copyright, and know-how licensing and cross-licensing agreements. At L.A. Gear, Mr. Lawrence also managed several large litigation matters in state and Federal courts, including patent infringement matters.

Mr. Lawrence is resident in the firm's Orange County office.
