Brent A. Folsom resident in the Orange County office, represents clients in a wide range of intellectual property matters. In particular, Mr. Folsom prepares and prosecutes patents in a variety of technologies including computer software, electronics, semiconductors, business methods, and the mechanical arts. Other aspects of his practice include intellectual property litigation, licensing, trademark prosecution, and the preparation of opinions pertaining to intellectual property rights.

Mr. Folsom earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Irvine, where he was a Regents’ Scholar. Mr. Folsom is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the California Bar.

Prior to joining MacPherson Kwok Chen & Heid LLP, Mr. Folsom worked as an associate with the law firm of Stetina Brunda Garred & Brucker where he handled patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation matters. Mr. Folsom also previously worked as an attorney in the San Francisco offices of Fliesler Dubb Meyer & Lovejoy LLP where he provided patent prosecution services to clients based in the Silicon Valley.
